Hope College CIT - Advisee Profile, Multicultural Education, and International Ed Blite Slowness – Incident details

CIT continues to work with other departments to implement modern replacements for B-lite. We do not anticipate being able to fix the remaining speed issues with B-lite due to the dated technologies that it is built on. Stay tuned for more updates from CIT regarding replacing various B-lite screens with alternative systems over the coming months.

As posted in the Hope Daily announcement on May 1, 2025, Hope will be moving to a new Advising platform. More updates will come during the summer of 2025. If you have immediate questions, please reach out to CIT or the Advising office.

CIT is continuing to investigate this issue. Given the age of the code that powers Blite and fundamental design constraints with the system, the underlying issues are very, very difficult to pinpoint and full restoration of functionality is unlikely. CIT is actively investigating alternative advising CRM solutions and will update the campus when we know more.
