    On Tuesday (5/19) from 7:00am – 7:45am, the Red server (aka "U: drive" or "Y: drive") will be unavailable while hardware upgrades take place. During this time any files stored on that server, including Microsoft Access databases, will be unavailable. Google services, Moodle, Banner and others are not affected.

    If you experience difficulty connecting after the upgrades, please reboot your computer. Additional assistance is available by contacting the CIT Help Desk.

    Update from 123NET at 3:52am:

    "The emergency maintenance has been completed.

    Splicing crews have completed fiber restoration work at the affected site, and impacted circuits have stabilized. Our team will continue to monitor services to confirm stability following the repair. "

    "123NET splicing and construction crews are currently on site continuing restoration efforts. A estimated time of restoration is currently not available. Additional information will be provided as soon as it becomes available."

    We have received no additional updates from 123NET regarding efforts to repair their damaged fiber optic cable in Grandville. No estimated restoration timeframe has been provided.

    The college's telephone circuit provider, 123NET, has identified a damaged fiber optic cable in the Grandville area that is causing outages from Wyoming to Holland. Their technicians are at the location of the damage and commencing with remediation efforts.

    The college's telephone circuit provider (123NET) continues to experience a widespread outage. When using landline campus phones, calls are unable to be made to or received from off campus. Internal calls (i.e. using a 4-digit extension) are still possible.

Issue Connecting with FortiClient VPN

    The issues with the FortiClient VPN system have been resolved. Please contact the CIT Help Desk if you experience problems.

    A small subset of users on campus use the FortiClient VPN system to work with sensitive applications such as Banner. Those users may experience issues connecting. We are currently investigating and will post back when we learn more.
